Charity work is a key part of our development at Copp School and every year we discuss which charities we would like to support so that everyone is on board.  We always try to make these charities child-related so that our children can take ownership of their fundraising.

The Junior Leadership Team decided that their charity this year would be Dementia; this was agreed partly after we had visited Bowgreave Rise Home for the Elderly but also because of our own children's experience of this. 

So far we have raised money for local charities such as:

Age UK
The local children's hospice - Brian House
Rock FM - Cash for Kids coin collection

We have also raised money for more global charities such as:

Sports/Comic Relief; Children in Need; Save the Children; Macmillan Cancer; Fair Trade;
Malaria Worldwide raising money to buy malaria nets; Deaf Awareness; Wateraid UK.

In February 2020, we helped to raise money for War Child through holding a coffee morning.  This was to help create classrooms for children who have suffered through war. 

Last year we also worked with one of our mums to collect and send uniforms to Africa - it was lovely to see a little bit of Copp in the wider world!
