The Governing Body is responsible for overseeing the management of the school and is responsible for ensuring that legal and education requirements placed on the school are appropriately met.
In the interests of safeguarding, all members of the Governing Body have to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DDS) check and a Section 128 check at the start of their membership.
At Copp Church of England Primary School, we have an extremely supportive governing board, who involve themselves in the school in a variety of ways. These include: leading worship; supporting staff with RE provision; working with more able pupils in maths; attending school events and working with the bursar on finance.
Our governors fully support our Christian vision and work with stakeholders to develop our Christian ethos and the spirituality of our pupils.
Governors engage with staff and pupils through school events, acts of worship, spirituality days and the school supports them through meetings, organised CPD and training.
