Welcome to Great Eccleston Copp Church of England Primary School!
Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website. We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both children and parents.
Our village school is at the heart of our community. We work closely with lots of different people who really understand our school and pupils. Every decision we make is child-focused, so that our school is constantly evolving to fit the needs of our children and families. We are very proud of our happy, thoughtful, confident pupils, who are excellent ambassadors for the love and caring which stems from our Christian Vision. We enjoy a happy, small-school ethos where everyone is valued and nurtured as an individual and where we encourage our children to develop a range of Christian values, to help them be better equipped to respect and value others around them. We strive for finding out what each child excels at or enjoys and aim to build on this throughout their journey with us.
Through our engaging, well-rounded and child-led curriculum, we ensure that pupils become passionate about learning, developing high aspirations and having opportunities to develop their own skills and interests. They are encouraged to think “outside the box” and to learn a positive growth mindset, which will prepare them for their future lives in an ever-changing world.
We have a dedicated team of staff and governors, who work hard to reach high standards in everything we do; this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, the local and wider community, and the Diocese. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and very much value our families as active partners in their child's education.
We do not hold formal open days as we believe that we would like you to see our school on a 'normal' day. You are more than welcome to make an appointment to see our wonderful school by calling our Bursar : Helen Lawrenson on 01995 670969.
