Collective Worship
Collective Worship is at the heart of our lovely, Christian school. Worships give us the opportunity to listen and hear the stories of Jesus and how we can translate the messages into our life today. We also have chance to reflect, ponder and inspire our children.
Worships are invitational, inclusive and inspiring. We utilise story, drama, music, art and any other appropriate means to engage our children so that they may learn about and from the Bible. Worships link to God's Big Story which we proudly display in our hall area and utilise as a teaching tool during worship time.
We are very lucky to utilise worships from two local churches : St. Anne's church and Elswick church. We also engage with Great Eccleston Free Methodist Church.
Worship is planned by the Headteacher alongside the RE Lead. We utilise our Pupil RE Lead, Howard, who gathers the impact of each worship.
A typical week would look as follows :
MONDAY : myHappymind followed by children leading their own planned worships in class
TUESDAY : Whole-school worship delivered by Ms. Loughran, Headteacher
WEDNESDAY : Whole-school worship delivered by visiting Reverends
THURSDAY : Whole-school worship delivered by staff
FRIDAY : 'Stars' celebration assembly
