Our Pupils
At St. Anne's Copp School, we encourage our pupils to be a key part of the running of our school, creating their own rules, organising clubs, joining committees and generally making a difference to our school community, but also the wider community, including our villages and the world beyond.
We consult with them regularly about issues which affect them, either directly or indirectly so that we can tailor our curriculum to their needs, support them when they need any sort of help or reassurance, spend our budgets wisely to prepare them for future life and help them to be the very best they can be - all of which are encompassed within our Christian vision.
The Junior Leadership Team (JLT) which is made up of Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Girl and our Christian Ambassador; these children go through an application process and staff decide who will be given the roles. The JLT work closely with staff.
Copp School Council (CSC) which is made up of a child from the classes in Y1 to Y6. They also have to go through an application process, but the voting is done by the children in their class. CSC work on key areas they want to develop in school. Mrs Jones runs our School Council.
Worship and Values Group (WaV). These children work with Ms. Loughran and Miss Pixton to ensure we are living out our Christian vision. They monitor reflection and prayer areas, create and develop quiet spaces, evaluate worship and many other things to ensure that spirituality and our Christian vision are at the heart of everything we do.
Online Safety Team. These children work with Mrs Richmond to promote online safety within school and also for families.
