Our Worship and Values Group is made up of children from Y1 to Y6 and headed by our Pupil Christian Ambassador, Arthur and his Deputy, Eric.
The aim of this group is to ensure that our Christian vision is reflected in everything we do in school and beyond.
We use our Year 6 Christian Ambassador to help with this group. Initially, we meet to determine aims for the year. Once our aims have been decided, we look closely at how we will achieves these. The group also has other opportunities to develop spirituality and worship by attending pupil conferences and visiting other schools.
Our older Worship and Values children assist with evaluating class worships and gathering evidence of impact.
This year, our focus is on the following :
WaV Whole-School Worship
Each half term, our Worship group lead a whole-school worship. Their remit is to pull together all the learning, reflection and Gospel Values covered in the half term. The children plan their worship together to decide the best way to summarise the half term. This may be done through story, drama, song or even signing.
Their worship involves delivering messages that require articulation, confidence and understanding from the Worship group.
