Our Commitment to Staff and Pupil Well-being
As a Christian school, our approach is rooted in our vision: "Let us love not in word, but in truth and action." – 1 John 3:18
We believe that true care and support go beyond words. Through both our staff and pupil well-being initiatives, we actively seek ways to nurture a happy, healthy, and flourishing school community, where everyone feels empowered to be their very best.
At St. Anne's Copp Great Eccleston, we recognise that both our staff and pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to fostering a culture where well-being and mental health are prioritised, ensuring that everyone in our school community feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.
As a proud myHappymind school, we are committed to supporting not only our pupils’ wellbeing but also the mental health and resilience of our staff. The programme has provided our team with a shared language and practical strategies to promote a positive mindset, manage stress, and build emotional resilience. It has helped to create a calm, supportive environment where wellbeing is prioritised across the whole school community. Staff have reported feeling more confident in supporting children's emotional needs and in looking after their own mental health, contributing to a more cohesive and nurturing school culture.
To further demonstrate our commitment, we have a dedicated Staff Well-being Governor who works alongside leadership to ensure staff well-being remains a key priority. We also have a yearly action plan in place to continually review and implement the best ways to support our team, promoting a healthy work-life balance and a positive working environment. Our Headteacher, Ms Loughran, also holds the Senior Mental Health Lead accreditation.
