Online Safety

At Copp, our children are usually supervised when they are on the computers, but we also teach them strategies for coping with issues they may find when they are on the Internet.  This gives them future life skills and makes them aware of the potential hazards of the Internet.

Every half term we hold an online safety focus, which looks at different strands of being online and how children can protect themselves against risk.  We liaise with outside agencies, including Lancashire County Council and the Police and Mrs Melvin and Mr Holt attend update conferences, at least annually.

We also have an Online Safety Group, who meet every half term with Mr Holt.  For more information on their meetings, please click HERE.

There are many sites to help and support parents; please see a selection of these below. However, if parents or carers wish to discuss any online safety issues with school, we are happy to meet with you.
