Trail : home / Safeguarding
At Copp, the safety, security and happiness of our children is paramount and we adhere strictly to safeguarding guidelines as laid out by Lancashire County Council. We ensure that our school is a happy, safe place, where children can develop to their potential.
We encourage a positive growth mindset and excellent behaviour, including behaviour for learning. Every class has a Copp Learning Ladder, which children strive to climb in order to receive a Top Copp Card. Our Behaviour Policy and ethos in school is rooted in our Christian vision: Copp Cares - Let us love, not in word but in truth and action (1 John 3:18) and we promote a culture of forgiveness, reconciliation and starting afresh – every day is a new day.
Our Friendship Group meets every half term with Mr Giles and they discuss ways in which they can ensure that all children are happy in school, especially at playtimes. Please click HERE for more information on the Friendship Group.
Please see below our related policies.
Our Behaviour policy and sanctions have been updated to reflect the repercussions of Covid-19 and the impact of lockdown. The Safeguarding Policy also has an addendum related to lockdown.
